Background

 

Agencies that are participants in the Housing for Health Orange County project has a specific data collection requirement that must be completed in HMIS. In addition to the HUD standard data collection, agencies are required to enter services and answer five supplemental custom entry questions.

 

Accessing the Housing for Health Orange County Project

 

Data for the Housing for Health Orange County project must be entered under the American Family Housing agency, as this is the agency that manages this project. To complete data entry for the Housing for Health Orange County project, click on the agency drop down beneath your name in the top right corner of the HMIS screen, and select American Family Housing. After searching for a client record or creating a new client record, select the Housing for Health Orange County project associated with your agency on the Programs screen. If you need access to enter data for the Housing for Health Orange County project and American Family Housing is not available in the agency dropdown, please enter a ticket with the HMIS Help Desk.

To access these services in HMIS, please follow the steps below.

 

  1. Navigate to the Provide Services tab under the Head of Household's Housing for Health Orange County project enrollment.
  2. Select the service category of the service you would like to enter.
  3. Select the service item that you would like to enter.
  4. Enter the Start and End Date of the service. In most cases, the Start and End Date should be the same date.
  5. If the service is a Financial service, enter the amount of funds provided to the client.
  6. If applicable, enter any notes related to the service.
  7. Select the Submit button.
